Great weather, Great waves, Great times
I took these Feb 2-5, 2012 @ 3 mile in Santa Cruz, CA The weather and swell aligned for us to have 4 amazing days of glassy lines and sunshine. Shot using Panasonic Lumix ts3 and Golden Hour Wrist Pod

New Demo Video for the Wrist Pod
I made a new demo video for the Wrist Pod yesterday to replace the previous “Wrist Shot” video. I’m happy with how it turned out, definitely room for improvement, but a solid step in the right direction over the first. I had a little fun with some stop motion animation at the end. Enjoy!

Beautifully scary
As I look at these pictures from a few weeks back during the last big swell that came through, it’s funny, the shots tuned out great, but they really fail to capture the power that was out in the water that day. The pictures look peaceful, almost relaxing…… It was anything but. The inside was a pounding frothy mess, on the outside set waves were breaking large, thick, and un predictable. It was windy and the current was strong. I was truly happy to get back on dry ground after this session. Probably not the best day to take a camera out with me, but The Wrist Pod and my Panasonic Lumix (waterproof camera) both worked great in the heavy surf, probably their most extreme test to date.

Sacred Craft 2011
I took a ride down to Santa Cruz last weekend for Sacred Craft. Having been to many trade shows in the past I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, would it be yet another hype fest glorifying the “lifestyle” and selling fashion, or would the show hold true to its intent to be all about the surfboard. I was pleasantly surprised, the isles were packed with beautifully designed boards of all shapes and sizes, truly something for everyone and then some. There were numerous shaping and glassing demos showcasing both tried and true traditional methods as well as some exciting eco alternatives that are beginning to gain traction. All in all a great show.
